How does EN 1993-1-4 affect fastener material choice?

Modified on Wed, 24 Jun at 3:31 PM

EN 1993-1-4 uses a Corrosion Resistance Factor (CRF) to determine the required Corrosion Resistance Class (CRC) for a project. Façade fasteners commonly require CRC III or higher, typically resulting in the use of A4 stainless steel to ensure long-term durability and corrosion resistance.
