What are three cavity barrier types for your cavity systems?

Modified on Tue, 16 Jun at 1:15 PM

There are three main cavity barrier types used within our cavity-based systems:

1. Open-state cavity barriers – Intumescent cavity barriers that allow ventilation during normal conditions and expand in the event of a fire.

2. Compartmentation and party wall barriers – Full-depth mineral wool fire barriers installed at compartment walls and party wall junctions.

3. Opening and perimeter cavity barriers – Y-Wall CS Fillets used around windows, doors, and other openings, as well as at system terminations, to maintain fire compartmentation.

For installation requirements and typical details, please refer to the Cavity System 1 Installation Guide. in the downloads centre on the website.
